Attorney General Discloses Inquiry into President's Adversaries and Jeffrey Epstein Ties

This past Friday, Pam Bondi assigned Jay Clayton to head an inquiry into political adversaries of Donald Trump and their links with Jeffrey Epstein. This move came shortly after Trump ordered her to begin the probe.

During an announcement, Bondi highlighted Jay Clayton as “a highly skilled and reliable legal expert”. The official stated, “As with all matters, the department will pursue this with urgency and integrity to deliver answers to the American people.”

This development appears to contradict a recent memorandum from justice department officials which stated that documents related to Epstein did not warrant further inquiries. As per the document, authorities “did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties”

The President Demands Focus on Political Opponents in Epstein Matter

This news coincides with increasing demands from Trump on lawmakers to block the public disclosure of Epstein-related documents before an upcoming House vote in the coming days. Many Republicans are expected to support the release.

Newly public communications from Jeffrey Epstein have brought attention to Trump’s past involvement with the convicted criminal, revealing information that he knew more about Epstein’s conduct than he has previously let on.

On Friday, Trump declared he would ask the Department of Justice to examine connections between Epstein and Democratic figures, specifically naming Bill Clinton, Larry Summers and Reid Hoffman. Interestingly, Trump also referred to the “Epstein hoax” as a “deception”.
