Skydance Paramount Will Remove Around 2,000 United States Roles – Report
Paramount Skydance will start significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, removing about 2,000 American roles under a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction come after the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August worth $8.4bn.
Additional overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, as the firm intending to announce full details during its third quarter earnings report set for the 10th of November.
Previous updates stated that Paramount aimed to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.
As of December 2024, the company employed about 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 temporary project employees.
The organization has not yet commented on the matter.
